Description

Ski tour training advanced Lechtal Tirol

Once you have arrived in ski touring country, there are many facets and directions in which you can develop: Ski crossings, ski mountaineering, ski mountaineering, project planning (freeride),…

This further development requires know-how.

Starting with tour planning, we go deeper into the subject matter with you step by step. From a technical point of view, “only” the rope technique and independent tour guiding are added, but this training places much higher overall demands on the participants compared to ski tour training for beginners: in terms of fitness, ascent and skiing technique, alpine skills and, last but not least, we are challenged in our human qualities as leaders. We set the focus according to your abilities and requirements:

  • Material
  • Tour planning and decision-making processes (regional-local-zonal: based on avalanche.report, alpenvereinaktiv.com, whiterisk.ch)
  • Orientation (maps, compass, GPS)
  • Avalanche awareness (avalanche formation, avalanche situation report, danger levels, danger patterns)
  • Snow science (snow profiles, stability tests, systematic snowpack diagnosis)
  • Track layout and tactics for ascending steep terrain with ice axe and crampons
  • Track system in the descent: Organization of the group
  • LVS training (multiple burial)
  • Rope technology (detachable anchors, fixed rope caterpillar)
  • Independent tour guide
  • Alpine dangers
