We focus on independent tour planning and tour guiding for mountaineering in glaciated high mountains. Rope technique plays a particularly important role in the execution of advanced tours, because there is a lot to observe on different surfaces (rock, ice, snow) and taking into account the steepness of the terrain and it is important to vary in order to stay safely on the path: steep firn flanks, ice passages, cross passages in rocky terrain, climbing on the ridge, descending and abseiling, etc. require a broad repertoire of knowledge regarding stand construction, rope management and rope team procedures. And in order to get the most out of your day of alpine touring, a number of planning support tools play a crucial role in tour planning.
