With the Lechtal Mountain School, we have chosen a path where work, added value and outcome take place at our newly built base in Gramais and in the Lechtal Alps region. This base not only includes storage areas, equipment for training courses, an office, accommodation and catering for guests, but above all the development of new routes for ski touring, freeriding, ice climbing, mountaineering, alpine climbing and, above all, sport climbing.

A 5-minute walk from the Gramais base camp, we reach the base of the Mühlschrofen wall, which is vertical to heavily overhanging throughout and has excellent rock quality.

The climbing is athletic throughout due to the steepness and good rock structure. There are routes that are very overhanging, but
do not exceed the 8th degree of difficulty on the UIAA scale. In addition, there are routes in intersection climbing as well as very steep wall climbing in the north-facing, up to almost 100m high wall section. All in all, the routes are rather long (up to 40m) and enduring. We have set up multi-pitch sport climbing routes in the high part of the wall.

In addition, with the climbing garden at Haschrofe, we have opened up a small but beautiful crag (route length up to 20m) where we can work on climbing techniques with our guests
.

It takes about 30 minutes to reach Haschrofe from Basecamp Grama. Once at the top, the mountain panorama
and the view down to Gramais make up for all the exertions of the ascent. Hubs Lindner and Marvin Kärle are the developers of the two areas, especially as the Mühlschrofen is owned by the Lechtal Mountain School and the municipality of Gramais, as the owner, ensures that there is no uncoordinated development in the wildlife-restricted area of the Hirschhalskopf, which stretches back to the Roßkar group just above the Schrofen, and thus no unresolved liability issues in the event of a climbing accident. Every route and line is studied, discussed and climbed in advance on the basis of the rock structures before the bolts are placed where they belong.
