Bowspring'n Climb | Bowspring' Hike

Yoga of the 21st century

If you love yoga asanas, you'll love Bowspring even more.

Bowspring emphasizes dynamism, functionality and lightness, bringing them to their peak in harmony. By pulling and pushing the muscles and fascia, the body becomes supple and open. The spine is stretched in its natural curves and all muscle groups are trained and strengthened. This increases the functionality of everyday as well as athletic movements immensely.

We learn to activate our muscular counterparts to find more strength and balance and avoid one-sided overload. Fascia and musculature become softer, better supplied with blood and fill with water. This results in a balanced and healthy basic tension in the body.

We feel lighter and full of energy.

Bowspring instructor Christian Wimmer (Omyo Yoga Center) practiced classical yoga styles for 14 years before discovering Bowspring 9 years ago. Spirituality, stillness and breath are further bridges to one's self in order to cultivate a healthy focus in everyday and sports challenging situations.

The positive effects from the bowspring exercises can be transferred to all areas of life. This is also the case when hiking in the mountains with our Siberian huskies, which - leashed to a waist belt - pull powerfully uphill.

One half day we offer a trial climbing in the climbing garden located 10min away. The movement and stability aspects of bowspring can be wonderfully transferred to the vertical.

On the Mountain Trail with our Siberian Huskies

What is special about our mountain school is the team:

we work with Siberian Huskies, in an innovative & sustainable way.

2022 we have a total of 8 Siberians in the team of the mountain school Lechtal with Yuta (lead bitch, pack leader), Valluga, Lilly, Vigo, Rosa, Pippi, Freia and Loki, which we train and educate especially in the subject of mountain hiking, mountaineering, ski touring and approach to climbing (on ice and rock).

They are by no means just a means to an end, which is to make the ascents on the mountain trail go faster. Our huskies are part of the family and team members of the Lechtal Mountain School. We have the utmost respect for their nature and their work, and they live with us at the base(Basecamp Gramais), where they can move and romp freely in the pack in a large kennel.

Moreover, for us it is not primarily about speed. Because the times of "higher, faster and further" are a thing of the past in our world.

It's about aesthetics:

to master a mountain, a route, a trail mindfully, sure-footedly and superior in condition, that is our claim.

This results in quality and safety. We teach this at Bowspring, as well as on the Mountain Trail with our huskies, and while climbing in our wonderful rocky escapes around Gramais. Not in theory. Exclusively in practice.
