With the Lechtal Mountain School we have chosen a path where work, value creation and outcome take place at our newly built base in Gramais and in the Lechtal Alps area. This base includes not only storage areas, equipment for training courses, office, accommodation and catering for guests, but above all the development of new routes for ski touring, freeriding, ice climbing, mountaineering, alpine climbing and especially for sport climbing.

5 minutes walk from Basecamp Gramais we reach the wall foot of the Mühlschrofen, which presents itself throughout vertical to strongly overhanging and with excellent rock quality.

The climbing is athletic throughout due to the steepness and good rock structure. Thus we find moves that are to be mastered strongly overhanging,
but do not exceed the 8th degree of difficulty in the UIAA scale. In addition, there are routes in intersection climbing as well as very steep wall climbing in the north-facing, up to almost 100m high wall section. Overall, the routes are rather long (up to 40m) and persistent. Whereby we set up multi-pitch sport climbing routes in the high wall part.

In addition, we have developed with the climbing garden at the Haschrofe a small but fine rock (route length up to 20m), where we can
can ideally work with our guests on climbing techniques.

We reach the Haschrofe from Basecamp Gramais in about 30min. Arrived at the top, compensated in any case the mountain panorama
and the view down to Gramais compensates for all the hardships of the ascent.

The climbing garden and our base are owned by the Lechtal Mountain School. The municipality of Gramais as owner ensures in such a way that there is no uncoordinated development operation and unresolved liability issues in the wildlife-restricted area of the Hirschhalskopf, which stretches to the rear just above the ridge to the Roßkargruppe.

Each route and line is studied, discussed and climbed in advance based on the rock structures before the bolts are placed where they belong.
